Aims and Scope of journal, “Pakistan Heritage”

Pakistan Heritage is established in 2009 after the establishment of Department of Archaeology in Hazara University. The prime aim of the journal is to house the current archaeological research in Pakistan in particular and South Asia in general. It mainly includes the titles in archaeology but also take anthropology, different aspects of Cultural Heritage Studies, History and Cultural Geography. The main topics considered are Prehistory, Protohistory, Indus Valley Civilization, Gandharan Cultural Heritage, Buddhist, Hindu and Islamic art & architecture, Numismatics, Palaeography, Mughal, Sikh and British art & architecture, cultural heritage management, museum studies and conservation studies. It has successfully extended its scope, particularly in terms of space and multi origin of the contributors. It has extended the region covered from far off the political boundaries of Pakistan, to India, China and Middle East. All scholars who take part in the study of South Asia from across the globe can contribute to the Journal.

تأسست باكستان التراث في عام 2009 بعد إنشاء قسم الآثار في جامعة هازارا. الهدف الرئيسي من المجلة هو لإيواء البحوث الأثرية الحالية في باكستان على وجه الخصوص وجنوب آسيا بشكل عام. وهو يشمل أساسا عناوين في علم الآثار ولكن أيضا تأخذ الأنثروبولوجيا، وجوانب مختلفة من دراسات التراث الثقافي، والتاريخ، الجغرافيا الثقافية، وما إلى ذلك الموضوعات الرئيسية التي تعتبر هي ما قبل التاريخ، بروتوهستوري، حضارة وادي السند، التراث الثقافي غانداران، البوذية والهندوسية والإسلامية الفن و الهندسة المعمارية، نوميسماتيكش، بالايوغرافي، المغول، السيخ والفنون والهندسة المعمارية البريطانية في الهند، وإدارة التراث الثقافي، ودراسات المتاحف ودراسات المحافظة، طرق التجارة القديمة وآثارها، وما إلى ذلك وقد وسعت بنجاح نطاقها، وخاصة من حيث المساحة التي يغطيها وكذلك من حيث تعدد أصول المساهمين. وقد وسع نطاق المنطقة المغطاة بعيدا عن الحدود السياسية لباكستان، إلى الهند والصين والشرق الأوسط. كل العلماء الذين يشاركون في دراسة جنوب آسيا من جميع أنحاء العالم، والمساهمة في ذلك على ارتباطه إلى الأماكن المذكورة أعلاه في الماضي.
