Introduction

Pakistan Heritage is an internationally peer reviewed research journal, published annually by the Department of Archaeology of Hazara University. It is publishing quality research papers under the ISSN 2073-641X since 2009. Its Board of Editorial Advisors consists of inland and abroad members of repute. It houses the on-going research of the department as well as individual scholars, particularly the collaborating institutions. It is jointly edited by archaeologists from Hazara University Mansehra (Pakistan) and School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester, United Kingdom (UK). It is the only ISI indexed impact factor journal in archaeology from Pakistan. Till now a huge number of researches have been housed by the journal with a main theme of the archaeological heritage of Pakistan or any related study.

This research journal focuses on current issues and research in the fields of archaeology, cultural heritage management, museums’ and conservation studies in Pakistan, South Asia, Central Asia and adjoining regions of China. It is an annual publication, with 9 volumes printed so far through funding from the HEC and Hazara University. While Volume 10 of the same is in the press for printing and volume 11 is in the process of editing and is expected to be published in 2020. The journal has been recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan in category (Z) and is qualifying for the higher category.

The Editors of Pakistan Heritage aim for the highest publication standards and ethics, and have zero tolerance to plagiarism. They follow double blind peer-review process and expose all submitted papers to intensive desk review process and anti-plagiarism soft wares before submission to the reviewers and board of editorial advisors.
